I'll have to do this quickly today because the internet is poor today, I'd like to enter this card into the Totally Gorjuss Challenge 189 Happy Birthday ...

This is a LOTV image and the DP is the a Happy Heart 6x6 paper pack by My Minds Eye

Summertime

Kia Ora

From a Sunny yet surprisingly cool day at the Marina perfect weather for a summertime card.
So the following is an accidental card this was the "sketch" I was making to try out the image I had in my head. So the paper is from a cheap sketch pad I have to drawing out designs. So anyway I stamped the image and then masked it off then I drew the horizon and sketched the tree in and the water line. punched a circle of masking paper for the sun and then went ink mad. and did the "sketch" coloring of the tree and image last. But I liked the way the colors had leached and mixed so much that I made the sketch into a card anyway. lols....

So I'd like to enter this accidental card into TGF's FFF Summer, Summer, Summertime Challenge.

Not much else to add the stamp is Hula Anya and the inks are Ranger, Broken China and Tea Die and Memento Tuxedo Black and a yellow.

In the Garden

I found this challenge a little difficult because I don't have gardeny type stamps so I improvised again and did my inked up background and stamped some flowers from another stamp set and paper pieced those. So here is my card.

Summer

Kia Ora

It's a beaut sunny, if somewhat windy, day today and I even managed a run this morning. I still haven't got my running mojo back yet but I'm working on it.

Summer to me means, flowers, picnics, day outings, messing about on the river and going to the beach. So I'd like to enter todays card into ABC Challenges ABC33 "Summer" . Here it is, I'm not going to apologize for the quality of the coloring because I've used water color pencils and I'm still learning to get the feel of them. Also the stamping quality is a bit off too because I've used a water color paper and couldn't get a smooth imprint from the stamp. But it's something I'm going to practice more at because I quite like the "scenic" stamp . See no apologies only excuses lols....

So here it is..

I have used 2 different stamp sets by Sheena Douglas for this card. I've had them a while but this is the first time I have stamped them because I was sort of at a loss with what to do with them. 

So this is what I used and yes I know I always forget to list something I've used but that just comes along with older age syndrome .......

For Dad

Kia Ora.

It's been a beaut day here today, I was asked to go up the mast of another yacht by a Russian/German Kiwi lols. His radio antenna was blown off the top of his mast the other day in the strong winds we've been having here, he saw my Kiwi flag and came over to say hello.  Then he noticed how oober small I am and asked if I minded going up to have a look. He's at least twice as heavy as me and single handed at the moment, so feeling sorry for him, I said yes. Anything to help another Kiwi in a strange land.

Anyhoo long story short I got up to within reaching distance of the dangling antenna and then bam the winch broke and I went up no further. So I was lowered back down again and now he'll have to pay to get the winch repaired and to get someone else to go up the mast because I won't push my luck a second time. One slip and you fall on to the deck in a heap and then get bounced over the guard rail and into the water breaking various things on the way.

Enough rambling from me and on to today's challenge.

The internet reception is very poor here at the marina so much so that I often have to give up what I'm doing out of sheer frustration. Blog hops can take up to 2 hours at times especially when you go to post a comment it takes forever to load that part and then you have to type confirmation that you're not a robot and then sometimes it takes even longer for the post awaiting moderation bit to appear so you don't know that your post has posted lols, oh well moan over.

On to the challenge.

I'd like todays card to go into the LLF challenge Get Well Soon. I adore the little teddy bear stamp up in the air from LOTV. With today's copic coloring I've given him a green tinge to indicate that maybe he's feeling a little unwell.. Here's the card...

Girly Girl

Kia ora from a calmer Cherbourg today, the wind has dropped at last and I was able to complete another card. And here it is...

I'd like to enter this into TGF's GVT Girly Girl challenge.  I don't have a anything to sit upon die so I drew the chair free hand and cut it out for Cheeky Glamour to sit on. I'm hoping that the paper piecing looks like a room with the you are loved as the window.. well that's what I'm imagining it looks like lols...

It's a wet and windy day today, luckily I finished coloring in my cute LOTV stamp yesterday but I lost the natural light for the photograph but I managed to find enough natural light today... So I'd like to enter today's card into Lili's Little Fairies: Good Luck challenge......

I don't have any stamps saying good luck so I improvised and wrote good luck on one of the balloons. I did my usual copic coloring and paper piecing treatment which is one I like a lot ;)

If Friends Were Flowers

I'm on a roll today with another card.

I'd like to enter this card into the LOTV Monthly Challenge Use a Sentiment. Now unfortunately I've only just started purchasing LOTV so I don't have any sentiment stamps on their own yet, but I did buy the If Friends Were Flowers stamp and that comes with a sentiment. So here is the card..

I tried out a different technique, for me, on this card. I embossed some black card stock in white embossing powder and then "painted" bleach on the usual colored places. Then I matted them in white card stock. It's certainly the other way round for me in that respect as I usually matt in darker colors. It felt trippy as I was doing it and it took me right out of my comfort zone too!
