For Dad

Kia Ora.

It's been a beaut day here today, I was asked to go up the mast of another yacht by a Russian/German Kiwi lols. His radio antenna was blown off the top of his mast the other day in the strong winds we've been having here, he saw my Kiwi flag and came over to say hello.  Then he noticed how oober small I am and asked if I minded going up to have a look. He's at least twice as heavy as me and single handed at the moment, so feeling sorry for him, I said yes. Anything to help another Kiwi in a strange land.

Anyhoo long story short I got up to within reaching distance of the dangling antenna and then bam the winch broke and I went up no further. So I was lowered back down again and now he'll have to pay to get the winch repaired and to get someone else to go up the mast because I won't push my luck a second time. One slip and you fall on to the deck in a heap and then get bounced over the guard rail and into the water breaking various things on the way.

Enough rambling from me and on to today's challenge.

Kia Ora,

The internet reception is very poor here at the marina so much so that I often have to give up what I'm doing out of sheer frustration. Blog hops can take up to 2 hours at times especially when you go to post a comment it takes forever to load that part and then you have to type confirmation that you're not a robot and then sometimes it takes even longer for the post awaiting moderation bit to appear so you don't know that your post has posted lols, oh well moan over.

On to the challenge.

This is my second post of the day, I'm happy with that. But I will admit that I'm feeling a tad weepy because yet another Father's Day has slipped by without my Dad being in it. Here's an oldie but a goodie, I miss you Dad x

Girly Girl

Kia ora from a calmer Cherbourg today, the wind has dropped at last and I was able to complete another card. And here it is...

I'd like to enter this into TGF's GVT Girly Girl challenge.  I don't have a anything to sit upon die so I drew the chair free hand and cut it out for Cheeky Glamour to sit on. I'm hoping that the paper piecing looks like a room with the you are loved as the window.. well that's what I'm imagining it looks like lols...

It's a wet and windy day today, luckily I finished coloring in my cute LOTV stamp yesterday but I lost the natural light for the photograph but I managed to find enough natural light today... So I'd like to enter today's card into Lili's Little Fairies: Good Luck challenge......

I don't have any stamps saying good luck so I improvised and wrote good luck on one of the balloons. I did my usual copic coloring and paper piecing treatment which is one I like a lot ;)

Gorjuss Cat
